FB Studios – Terms and Conditions Policy

1. About Us

FB Studios (“we”, “our”, “us”) is the production arm of Film Buddy Ltd (Company No. (09749997), registered in England and Wales.

Our registered office is Brookes Mill, Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield, HD4 7NR.

We produce films, music videos, and creative content for charities, student artists, and commercial clients, while offering supervised work-experience opportunities to students engaged through Film Buddy’s university partnerships.

By engaging our services or visiting our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Our Work

FB Studios operates as a professional creative production company with a strong social purpose.

Our projects fall into three areas:

  • Charitable & Student Projects – films and media created for charities, community groups, and student artists, donated for their own use.

  • Commercial Commissions – paid creative projects for companies, organisations, and brands.

  • Educational Participation – structured work experience opportunities for students through Film Buddy partnerships (covered by our Ethical Working Policy.)

Each project tpe follows clear legal and ethical standards to ensure fairness, transparency, and safety for all contributors.

3. Health, Safety & Safeguarding

  • FB Studios complies with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation.

  • We maintain Employer’s Liability, Public Liability, and Professional Indemnity insurance.

  • All participants receive safety briefings and are expected to follow production safety procedures.

  • Supervisors and mentors hold DBS checks where required, following the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.

4. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We believe creative work should be open to everyone.

FB Studios and Film Buddy Ltd are committed to equal opportunities and do not tolerate discrimination based on age, disability, gender identity, race, religion, sexual orientation, or background.

We actively promote inclusion across all productions.

  • 5 Intellectual Property

    • All intellectual property created by Film Buddy Ltd or FB Studios remains the property of Film Buddy Ltd unless agree to transfer the property or full pamyent is made.

    • Paid clients receive full usage rights or ownership upon completion and payment.

    • Students retain portfolio rights to showcase their work for personal or academic use.

    • Film Buddy and FB Studios may use completed projects for promotional or educational purposes unless otherwise agreed.

    • No Film Buddy or FB Studios material may be copied, distributed, or reproduced without written consent

6. Data Protection

We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We only collect and process personal information necessary for project delivery, education coordination, or communication purposes.

7. Liability

  • We take every reasonable step to ensure safety and professionalism across all productions.

  • FB Studios accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any matter which cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

8. Ending a Project

If either party needs to end a commissioned project early, this must be confirmed in writing.

Both parties will agree a fair settlement for work completed to date.

Our approach is always to resolve matters openly and in good faith.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and any associated agreements are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Our Ethical Standards

FB Studios operates under the governance of Film Buddy Ltd and adheres to its group-wide ethical and legal framework.

We are committed to fair pay, safe working conditions, and transparent collaboration with all partners and contributors.
