FB Studios is the production arm of Film Buddy, creating films, campaigns and creative content for charities, businesses, public organisations and educational institutions.

Story Lab

Story Lab is our education model, designed to connect learning with professional industry experience.

Working alongside universities, colleges and industry partners, Story Lab creates live briefs inspired by real industry practice. Students respond to those briefs, develop ideas and gain experience with guidance from industry professionals.

Students can engage through live briefs, mentoring, work experience and industry collaboration.

Story Lab is intentionally multidisciplinary. Projects can involve students from film and television, marketing, journalism, photography, animation, games, music, design, fashion, business, computing, performing arts, psychology, social sciences and beyond.

Every project is designed to support career progression through meaningful industry experience.

The Innerverse

The Innerverse Framework is FB Studios’ own responsible production framework, developed to help filmmakers understand the wider impact of storytelling.

Supported by the BFI, Innerverse encourages productions to think beyond the finished film by considering social value, community impact, opportunities for emerging talent and environmental responsibility throughout the production process.

Not every project follows the framework, but where it is applied, it helps create productions that benefit both audiences and the communities involved in making them.

For students, Innerverse provides a practical understanding of how filmmaking can become a force for positive change, while maintaining the highest creative and professional standards.
